Post Procedure Advice
In the first 24 hours after treatment –
Limit touching the area – the skin channels are open and touching can case dirt and bacteria to enter the skin causing spots or even infection.
Do not apply makeup or skincare products.
Wash only with cold or lukewarm water for 24 hours. An ice cube on the face can help soothe.
No swimming or exercise that would cause sweating.
In the first 72 hours after treatment –
After 24 hours use a gentle cleanser.
Do not use any harsh exfoliants.
Avoid sun exposure UV radiation damages the DNA of the cells and can cause premature ageing, hyperpigmentation or even skin cancer. Chemical sunscreen cannot be worn until around 3 days has passed as the skin channels will be open and your sunscreen may contain toxins.
Mineral based sunscreen can be used.
In the first 5 days after treatment –
No strong “active ingredients” such as AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids), BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids), Retinol or low pH Vitamin C should be used as these will irritate the skin.
In the first 2 weeks after treatment-
No further skin treatments such as chemical peels.
No sunbathing or sun beds.
Wear SPF30 or higher to protect the skin from damage or pigmentation.
Drink plenty of water.
